Director & Head Coach Constantin Petrescu

We are extremely fortunate to have Constantin Petrescu as the Program Director and Head Coach for the Spirals Foundation for Gymnastics. Constantin officially started in the gym on August 1, 2003, having moved here from Pennsylvania with his wife Margareta. Here are but a few of Constantin's tremendous qualifications and achievements: · Director and Head Coach, Men and Women's Programs, renowned International Gymnastics School and Camp, Inc. (IGC), Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania - from 1989 until 2003. (Constantin has literally trained and spotted thousands of athletes there in team workouts and at the huge camps run at IGC every summer.) · 25 years of international coaching and teaching experience, both private and collegiate. · Former member of Romanian Olympic Gymnastics Team - 1972, Munich. · Former Head Coach of the Romanian Junior Men's Team. · Former Head Coach of the Romanian Junior Women's Team. · Former Coach of USA Junior National Men's Team members. · Coached several Men and Women's former Olympic team members. · Masters Degree in Physical Education and Sport of Gymnastics. · Formerly taught physical education in Romania. · Former Romanian Junior National Team member. · USA Gymnastics Accredited and Safety Certified. · Former Assistant Coach of the Southern Connecticut State University's Men's Team. · Constantin is highly recognized professionally, with numerous Professional Awards.
