Spirals Foundation for Gymnastics Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQ”)
1. Can my child “try” his/her first class for free? Yes, most definitely. Spirals wants you and your child to experience our gymnastic program before you make any commitments. We want you and your child to feel comfortable at Spirals. 2. How do I know which class my child can take? First, review Spirals’ Schedule of Recreational Classes and identify classes that are age/gender appropriate. After your child’s initial free class, our coaches will advise you which class is suitable for your child. Then, select a time slot that is most convenient for your family. Or contact us at (805) 968-2453 and ask for either Gabi or Iz on which class would be best for your child. You may also e-mail Gabi or Iz at spiralsfoundation@yahoo.com. 3. Besides the monthly dues, are there any other costs? Yes. There is an annual registration fee in the amount of $40.00. 4. Are there any discounts for multi-family membership? Yes. For multiple family members, your family will receive a 10% discount off your total monthly gym dues. 5. If my child wants to take more than one recreational class a week is there a discount? Yes, your family will be eligible for a multi-recreational class discount -your family will receive 50% off the price of the dues of the second class, another 50% off the third class, etc. For example, if your child wishes to take three classes per week, your monthly dues would be computed as follows: $60.00/month for the first class, $30.00/month for the second class, $15.00/month for the third class, for a total of $105.00 per month. 6. If my child misses a recreational class is there a make-up class? Yes. You will be able to choose another date in the week that a similar class is being held. If you know in advance that your child will not be able to attend his/her regularly scheduled class, please inform the coach. 7. How does my child advance from a recreational class to being invited to Levels 2 and 3; Mighty Mites; Hot Shots; Future Stars and/or being on the Spirals Gymnastics competitive team? Basically, your child’s progress will be individually determined based on your child’s skill development in the Spirals program. The coaches will advise the parents when your child is ready to advance to the next level. We want your child to succeed while having an enjoyable experience with Spirals Gymnastic. The coaches will continually discuss with you your child’s progress and answer any questions or concerns that you may have. For example, if your child starts with our Mommy/Daddy & Me class your child’s progression would normally go as follows: BOYS and GIRLS Mommy/Daddy and Me [2 to 3 years old]
By Invitation Only BOYS GIRLS Level 4 - Boys Future Stars Mighty Mights [5 to 7 years old] Your child’s progress will greatly depend on what the coaches will determine is best for your child AND how far you as a family will want your child to proceed. 8. Besides the kiosk parking passes, the following passes are also available: 1. 30 minute pick-up and drop-off Monday through Friday and valid all day 2. 7 days a week valid Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to Midnight as well The permit is good at any lot and structure that allows visitor parking with Mesa Parking Structure being the closest to the Recreation Center.
