Casey Ellis, Buellton: (Class 6; ages 10-11)
Floor: 8.30
(11th) *Personal Best*
Pommel Horse: 6.50 (20th)
Rings: 9.05 (8th)
Vault: 9.40 (9th) *Personal Best*
Parallel Bars: 7.70 (24th)
High Bar: 9.175 (13th) *Personal Best*
All-Around: 50.125 (15th)
After finishing
1 place out of qualifying to State, Casey finally made it this
year through hard work and determination. If Casey can hit on
all 6 events, he has a very good chance to qulaify to Regionals.
He is finally realizing what it takes to be a success and is willing
to give it his all.
Ethan Davis, Santa Barbara: (Class 6; ages 10-11)
Floor: 8.25
(12th) *Personal Best*
Pommel Horse: 6.30 (22nd)
Rings: 7.40 (21st)
Vault: 9.30 (14th)
Parallel Bars: 8..40 (16th) *Personal Best*
High Bar: 8.40 (21st) *Personal Best*
All-Around: 48.050 (20th) *Personal Best*
Ethan was
the final competitor to qualify to State, a very commendable achievement
for a first year gymnast. He has really pushed himself hard, increasing
his all-around score from his first meet this year almost 3 points!
Great Job!
Jordan Disraeli, Santa Barbara: (Class 5; ages 8-9)
Floor: 7.80
(3rd) *Personal Best*
Pommel Horse: 6.80 (4th)
Rings: 8.60 (2nd)
Vault: 9.475 (2nd) *Personal Best*
Parallel Bars: 8.750 (2nd) *Personal Best*
High Bar: 8.10 (3rd) *Personal Best*
All-Around: 49.525 (3rd) *Personal Best*
Jordan has
continued to improve with every meet this year, increasing his
all-round almost 4 points, as well as setting 5 Personal Bests
and coming close on 2 others. If Jordan continues to be focused,
and polish up his routines a little bit more, he has a good chance
to qulaify to Regionals. Form! Form! Form!
Tyler Howell, Santa Barbara: (Class 4, ages 12-13)
Floor: 8.30
(1st)
Pommel Horse: 6.30 (4th)
Rings: 7.80 (2nd)
Vault: 7.50 (6th)
Parallel Bars: 6.30 (6th)
High Bar: 6.20 (6th)
All-Around: 42.40 (6th)
Even though
Tyler was battling a foot injury, he still managed to take 1st
place on floor, winning by 0.3 points. On Rings, Tyler also threw
a new move (double back holding on to the rings-through to a swing)
he has been working for the 1st time in competition and it helped
him to place 2nd. In order to make it to Regionals, Tyler has
to be consistent and focused, making sure he maintains his form
while meeting all of his requirements. I definitely expect Tyler
to do very well at State, and even better at Regionals. He has
the ability, he just needs the focus.
Again I wanted to say to everyone GREAT JOB! We still have lots
to work on, but I also know everyone can achieve their goals as
long as we have the right attitude.
