Gabriela Grosz
Program Director and Board Member

Coach Gabriela “Gabi” Grosz has coached elite levels [USAG Levels 10 and above] of gymnastics with the International Federation of Gymnastics for over 12 years.  While living abroad, Gabi coached for Club Scolar Petrosani, Romania; National Military Society; Inter Sports Association Petrila; and as an Elite Squat Gymnastics Coach at Phoenix Gymnastics Training Center in England.  Prior to Spirals, Gabi was head coach at Northeast Elite Gymnastics in Ohio coaching Levels 5 through 10.  Gabi also received her degree from the National School for Coaches and is currently a member of the USA Gymnastics with safety certification.
  
As Program Director, Gabi has developed and trained recreational gymnasts who have been invited to become part of our growing competitive compulsory and optional girls’ team.   Gabi has also created a pre-level 7 optional girls’ program to advance compulsory girls ready to compete in optionals.  Not only has she successfully grown Spirals’ boys and girls programs, Gabi has shown her ability to apply her skills towards the business end of a gymnastics club.  Spirals is proud and honored to have such a high caliber coach amongst our staff. 

Israel (Izzy) Alatriste
Boys' Team Coach

Prior to coaching for Spirals, Israel "Iz" Alatriste competed internationally as part of the Men's National Team of Mexico and was coached by the well renowned Steve Butcher at the Mission Valley YMCA located in San Diego, California.

Iz subsequently studied Business Economics at UCSB and joined the University's Varsity Men's Team.  At the 2004 USAG Collegiate National Championships, he placed first in All Around with a score of 50.100.

Iz started coaching the Spirals Boys Team in 2005.  Under Coach Iz's skill, experience, leadership and guidance, the boys team has qualified for Regionals every year since 2006, going to San Jose California in 2006, Honolulu Hawaii in 2007, and Reno Nevada in 2008.

Spirals is honored to have an elite gymnast such as Iz on our staff.
